Birthday Hello

I was invited to a friends birthday party and wanted to make her a special card. I bought her a pair of earrings and wanted to put them in a coordinating SU treat bag. I absolutely love the SU "It's My Party" DSP. It has become my go-to paper. It has also changed my favorite colors.... And now I use melon mambo all the time. The card was one cased from Brian King done with Mint Macaroon. I added the birthday hat and the enamel dots.

The coordinating treat bag was fun. My favorite element is the pink button. I also love using the "white perfect accents." The ornate tag topper and the note tag go really well together and after seeing beautiful tags with them they were another must have that I use often.

Here are the two together. It was so fun to give them to my friend.

Be Mine

It's that time of year when I feel as if I can not make enough cards. I got the new Love Blossoms DSP and it is making me feel like I really need to get busy. I work hard to try and make cards the match people's personalities. This card is an inspiration that makes me feel good. I just got the square framelits and hadn't used them. I also wanted to be able to use the old red and white Christmas buttons for valentines cards. The button goes great with the paper. The little "Be Mine" stamp is from A Muse. I love it!

Everyday is a stamping day. Enjoy!

Saying Thanks

I am blessed to have wonderful people in my life. I am especially blessed to have two stamping buds. They inspire me and motivate me. My dear friend Marlene welcomes us into her home and her beautiful craft room. Then she shares her supplies and ideas. Thank you for all you do.

I wanted to show you the pretty inside . And now for the outside.

I used the pretty new SU Love Blossoms paper. I cut the paper into strips and used a cute saying from Stampendous. The little stamp in the inside was from a 2006 SU set called Noteworthy. The texture on the white paper is from a "linen" impressions folder. I almost forgot to mention the cutest part....the little bow. It is from the SU mini treat bag thinlits.

Hope this inspires you to do some fun stamping.

Happy Hearts

I thought I would pull out an old heart stamp set. I didn't realize until I got ready to post this blog that this set is from 2003. That was long before all the matching framelits. So, I cut them all out. It's ok, I love the designs on the hearts. The hugs and kisses saying was from this year's SU Six Sayings. A few embellishments and the card is finished.

Just for you valentines party

I stamped a bunch of hearts from the SU Hearts a Flutter set. I wanted a design that would maximize their use and since the card was white I thought it would be pretty to add some embossing. The embossing is with two SU embossing folders (Needlepoint border and Adorning Accents). My mother-in-law is recovering from a hip fracture. I hope it brightens her day.

Vintage SU background stamp and Bloomin' Love

When I look at the SU Bloomin' Love set my mind goes to soft and flowery. The options are endless for this thinlit die if you create your DSP. I created my own paper by using a vintage SU background stamp called "Floral." It is a gorgeous stamp. I stamped the coral image in SU Blushing Bride and then cut it out with the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit die.

To finish the card I used a verse from the indispensable SU verse good greetings and then some pearl embellishment.

Going Global

I could not wait to get the SU stamp set "Going Global." For one, it has quadrupled my ideas for guy cards but I think it is an awesome set for congratulatory and thinking of you cards not to mention valentines or anniversary. I America this card for a friend who just graduated with her Masters.
